Meet Kim

Hi, I’m Kim – a registered dietitian with a sweet tooth!

I firmly believe that all foods can be part of a healthy, balanced diet - even that piece of chocolate cake! Helping people ditch the rollercoaster of fad dieting and unnecessary food restrictions is what I strive for. Wellbeing is all about finding balance. This includes having a healthy relationship with
food and to find what really works for you (WITHOUT punishing yourself!).

I graduated from the University of the Free State in 2017 with an honours degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Thereafter I completed my community service year at local clinics, Margery Parks TB
Hospital and Midlands hospital in Graaff Reinet. It was during this time when I realised that one shoe does not fit all - personalising care is the best way to achieve sustainable change.

I decided to broaden my field of knowledge by working as a clinical dietitian in Mediclinic, Bloemfontein where I gained experience in nutritional management within a variety of areas such as critical care nutrition in the ICU, paediatrics, maternal health, geriatrics, gut health, oncology, renal disease, cardiovascular disease, recovery post-surgery, and eating difficulties. I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA).

My area of expertise includes the nutritional management of medical conditions, but I am a strong believer that nutrition is one of the most effective tools for disease prevention. Dedicated to help people optimize their health through research-based care, I strive to create simple, adaptable and sustainable plans for my clients while supporting them every step of the way. My goals are met when positive mental and physical transformation regarding nutrition occurs in my clients.

I look forward to helping you find your balance!

It was during my experience in the medical, surgical and paediatric wards that I developed my love for treating co-morbidities (medical conditions) through therapeutic nutrition. Unfortunately, I far too often see patients for treatment purposes rather than preventative measures. I strongly feel that a change in our perceptions and mindsets is required in order to realise the need to focus on preventing ailments before they begin impairing our quality of life.

Each of my patients can be assured that they will receive individualised, practical and scientific dietetic services that are founded upon medical experience and research-based knowledge.

Your relationship with food should not be focused solely on ‘teaspoon and centimetre’ measurements.  I aim to provide sustainable dietary solutions that are designed to easily integrate into your everyday.

My main objective? YOUR HEALTH!

I look forward to being a part of your nutrition journey.
